Appetite Events Celebrates 15 Years In Business
The Appetite Events team welcomed over 200 guests and industry professionals to The Assembly Rooms on Tuesday to celebrate our 15th Birthday. The party was the culmination of an eight month project to refresh the brand, launch a new website and to launch a range of new services. The Ballroom was transformed using live blossom trees from Wild Flowers, lighting from Vision Events. Guests were treated to a Midsummer’s night themed dessert stall, seafood stall, fine dining in miniature and a selection of bowl food and canapés from new Exec Chef Iain Thomson and his award winning kitchen team.
Appetite Events have had an incredible couple of years, creating nine new full time jobs, taking on two new premises, increasing turnover by 80%, winning a place on the National Museums of Scotland Catering Panel. We have also cemented our links with Crisis who have become our official Charity Partner and with whom we partnered to deliver 2500 hot meals to those in need over the Christmas period in 2018.
Appetite Events Director Nigel Kennedy comments ‘Last year we increased our sales by 80% to £1.5 million and we expect further growth this year. For the future, our aspiration is to be the best catering company in Scotland but it’s not just about delivering a bottom line, it’s about delivering excellence from enquiry through delivery and aftercare. Our mission has always been to take the time to fully understand what our clients are aiming for with their event and to deliver bespoke food and service that exceeds expectations. Our change in name to APPETITE EVENTS pulls together the additional services we now offer including, professional bars, event design and production and of course, wedding planning.’
