Rolex 2016 Collection Launch with Laing the Jeweller at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh
Numbers - 250
The brief - Working with client, Laing the Jeweller, Appetite Events were briefed to find a venue and make a proposal for the launch of the Rolex 2016 watch collection.
Historically, Laing the Jeweller and Rolex deliver extremely impressive events. Past events have seen a take over of the Fourth Floor at Harvey Nichols, which involved a drinks reception, a fashion show of Rolex watches and a celebratory evening with Sir Jackie Stewart.
A tough act to follow, so how did Appetite Direct approach the event?
Firstly, we contacted our partners at the Assembly Rooms to find a suitable date and discuss the concept and logistics. The Assembly Rooms is very close to Laing’s store, which was an important consideration with regard to the security of the collection and transporting to and from the event.
A date was secured and we worked closely with the Laing’s event team, discussing different concepts and ideas before settling on a proposal based on a ‘winter wonderland theme’.
Our event partners, All Event Hire and Cameron Presentations were contact and furniture, lighting and a circular bar to fit the theme, as well as white trees with fairy lights, were organised.
On the evening of the event, clients were ‘held’ in the crush-hall outside the ballroom, enjoying a glass of champagne before being invited into the ballroom for the reveal of the Winter Wonderland and of course, the new Rolex Watch Collection.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for arranging all the catering for the Highland Show – the food was great and the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were exceptionally efficient and really went above and beyond what was required.
Winter Wonderland Canapés included,
Turkey and Pancetta Skewers with Sage; Bite Size Goats Cheese Bon Bons; Onion Marmalade and Blue Cheese Tarts with Candied Pecan and Pear; Bite Size Ham Hock Croquette; Filo Cigars with Spiced Butternut Squash to name just a few!
The main food offering comprised two installations, circulated canapés and bowl food.
